A story inspired by my experience
Hello everyone!
Today I will tell you a bit about my baby, which WIP title is: Heal.
So this story is indeed inspired by this recent period of my life (last two years) after I started getting medical attention and focused on healing the damage done by the previous years, the part without psychiatric attention. Don’t run, it’s got nothing to do with psychiatry at all. I know I’m clumsy, but I’m doing my best to be clear here, so bear with me, if you will.
It follows an alien character, a military officer reconverted into a healer, within a universe-wide society, society that was entirely rebuilt after that terrible war our character Sohax served in, 4000 years ago. Traumatized, our main character refused to serve in the new Marine corps when the war ended, instead embracing the path of the healer, going around and restoring the biosphere of worlds burnt by radiation from the war, since all these years.
Our story starts on remote planet Aramada, where Sohax is participating in an ecological mission. However, hir convictions are shaken up by the unexpected discovery of a dead body. Starting to investigate this murder, Sohax will come to understand that it ties back to ancient rivalry that didn’t appease since the end of the war. Sie will have to come to terms with the things sie hirself is trying very hard to forget from this period…
I hope this short blurb catches your attention. The book will feature multiple planets and alien species, hopefully a satisfyingly intricate plot, and all the good vibes I can fit in.
